2013 Wash ‘n Go Routine and Tips for Fine Natural Hair

Wash ‘n Go season is back!

Truth be told, many naturals do wash ‘n go’s year round. I’m not one of them. It gets bone chilling cold here in NY and I don’t want to catch a head cold!

Anywho, I really do love wash  and go’s. They are such a low manipulation stye for me because once I do it, I don’t really manipulate my hair much until wash day rolls around again.

Here’s a video sharing my wash ‘n go’s for 2013 (very different from last year):

Wash ‘n Go Products Used:

Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie

I love Shea Moisture products but I also really like Wonder Curl products. I’ll be doing my next Wash and Go using Wonder Curl’s Butter Than Love Pudding and Get Set Hair Jelly.

I like to switch up between these two lines because they are both staples for me. The difference being if I want a really fluffy set, I use the Curl Enhancing Smoothie. When I want a slightly firmer set, I use Wonder Curl.

Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel

This has been a favorite gel of mine for some time. It has a lot of hold so it’s a must for me to layer a butter based product on top when using it.

And here’s a video sharing my 3 tips for a successful wash ‘n go on fine natural hair:

Do you like doing wash ‘n go’s or do you prefer twist or braid outs?
