biore cleansing wipes and towelettes

For now let’s talk about Bioré®

So, remember the Bioré® nose strips (they’re actually called Pore Cleansing Strips)? They’re pretty funny looking when you use them on your nose to remove all the clogged up gunk but they were effective.

Well, Bioré® now offers daily cleansing cloths and makeup removing towelettes (both dermatologist and ophthalmologist-tested). Here’s a little info on both:

My Thoughts

I’ve tried both, the cleansing cloth and the makeup removing towelette. They do remove a significant amount of dirt and makeup from your face but there is no difference between the two products. If you look at the ingredients, they are identical. The only thing that may be different (besides the name of the product), is the material the cloth vs. the towelette is made from. Marketing hype much?

While I would have liked to endorse these facial cleansers, I can’t recommend them for regular use. Why? The ingredients.

While I do use some products that are not 100% natural, I can’t cosign on products containing parabens or propylene glycol. I’ve read too much about the negative effectives of these ingredients, that I just can’t.

Now, if it the chemical ingredients aren’t a bother to you, by all means try these. They are very affordable and they do what they promise – remove dirt, oils and makeup.

  1. Great review! I used the pore strips before but stopped when I saw the ingredients. I am with you here on these facial wipes…I’d not use them either! A facial wipe is pretty convenient at times though. A great one is made by Blum Naturals. You can find them at Ross or Marshalls sometimes for cheap!
