Celebrating Valentine’s Day with Curlformers!

About a month ago I received the CurlFormers that I received from winning a give away from Curly Nikki.

Since I’ve been protective styling or most of the past month, I haven’t had an opportunity to try the CurlFormers. Well, that’s not entirely true. When I first got them, I was itching to see how they would work on my hair that I pulled a small piece from the back of my head, spritzed it with water and proceeded to Curl-Form LOL!

That one curl was gorgeous ha! I really wanted to scrap my protective styling plans but decided to stay focused on my goal of retaining length.

Well, yesterday was Valentine’s Day so I figured protective styling could take a back seat for a couple days because I needed to look cute LOL! I actually set my hair using a combination of the CurlFormers and Flexi Rods a few days before Valentine’s Day to try out different styles. I wound up in a protective style for Valentine’s Day anyway! Old habits are hard to break.

Here’s a video sharing the CurlFormer/Flexi Rod takedown:

I absolutely LOVE my results. I can not wait to try these again with just CurlFormers that are all one width (the length varies due to layers in my hair).

The gift set I received from Curly Nikki was a special holiday edition and didn’t contain enough curlers to curl my entire head. Therefore, I headed out to Sally’s pronto to pick up some additional packages. Even with the additionals, I didn’t have enough. I’ll have to pick up 3 more packs.

Stay tuned for future posts where I’ll share more looks using other sizes of CurlFormers in the future. I’ll be looking to achieve body waves with one of those curlers! Sign up here to receive updates from this blog so you don’t miss it 🙂
