The internet is a wonderful place. You can find just about anything but it’s especially giving when it comes to discovering quality free items.
I was perusing Facebook one day when these cute headbands from Vero Brava.
There are a number of ways that these headbands can be used to accessorize natural hair. Since I’m at an in between stage of reverting from straight to curly, I’ve been bunning it lately. I’ll be a little more stylish once I fully return to curly hair but I digress.
Vero Brava headbands are created by Veronica Shogren of Argentina. Veronica wears many hats: Seamstress, designer, retail manager, wholesales rep, customer service agent and model of her headband products.
Vero Brava was born and originally sold on Etsy. Every product sold is meticulously handmade and designed for individuals who care about style, quality and function. Their headbands are guaranteed not to slip off your head and will absolutely make you look fabulous.
- Sewn to perfection
- Flexible placement options
- Fits nice and snug #Winning
- Doesn’t slip or slide off your head. Just as they claim #Score
- While I ordered the plain black headband via a promotion (I only had to pay for the shipping), they have a lot of nice designs (holiday, prints, solids) and in different materials (cotton lycra and poly spandex).
These headbands are absolutely lovely. There’s nothing I can say that is a negative about the actual product. I have more constructive criticism where packaging is concerned (same issue I shared in my Kinky Kashmere Review).
Vera Brava headbands are not cheap. They aren’t really expensive either but for the cost, I think they could be packaged nicer. I received my headband sealed in a plastic sleeve with an informational card.
When marketing your brand, how you package your product communicates a lot to consumers. If the headbands weren’t high quality but they were packaged like they were, high quality would be the perception people would have upon first impression (First impressions are very important). In the case of Vera Brava, cheap packaging makes these headbands look like they are cheap quality even though they aren’t…like $3 headbands sold in stores like Five Below.
I’d like to see Vera Brava package these headbands with a little more pizazz. For example, wrapping the headbands in nice colored tissue paper and putting a nice branded label on the packaging would not cost much and would do a lot for it’s appearance.

A Prayer for Vero Brava and Veronica Shogren:
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving Vero Brava the inspiration to create high quality head bands. Bless them in all their future endeavors as they continue to operate with honesty and integrity, giving back to the community. In Jesus Name. Amen
