Lumene Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream

A couple of days ago I shared a review of Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Day Cream SPF15. I mentioned that it is best for sun protection when used with another product that increases the SPF.

Well, Lumene Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream is the perfect compliment. It’s a tinted cream available in 2 shades – Light and Medium. I used Medium which I didn’t think would blend well since it was a little light but it actually worked well.

reviewing lumene bb cream with arctic cloudberry

This anti-aging cream is formulated with Arctic Cloudberry (I know. I never heard of it either).

Arctic Cloudberry, coined “Scandinavian Gold” is a golden colored berry found growing in the wild of Northern Finland. It contains double the amount of Vitamin C as citrus fruits like oranges. Due to it’s high content of Vitamin C along with substantial quantities of  Omega 3, Omega 6, carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, phytosterols, and antioxidants, the Arctic Cloudberry can possibly help strengthen skin fibers and combat oxidative damage (simply, a burning up of cells from too much exposure to oxygen) caused by pollution, cigarette smoking, sun exposure and more.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Octinoxate 6%

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Alumina, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Boron Nitride, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Caprylyl Glycol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), (CI 77891) Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Glycerin, Iron Oxides, Laureth-7, Lecithin, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, PEG-8, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Rubus Chamaemorus (Cloudberry) Seed Oil, Silica, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbic Acid, Sorbitran Stearate, Stearic Acid, Tocopherol, Triisostearin PEG-6 Esters, Water, Xantham Gum.

While this anti-aging cream is not 100% natural, it is formulated for sensitive skin (no parabens – a common allergen). Those with oily/combo or slight sun damaged skin, like  myself  should notice the most improvement with regular use.

I’m currently using MyChelle Dermaceutical skin care products for cleansing, toning and exfoliating but have started using Lumene’s BB Cream and Day Radiance Cream for protection from the sun. The two product lines appear to be working very well for my skin.

Your skin will reflect absolute goodness when you take good care of it. Lumene’s Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream is a great addition to any skin care regimen. It retails for about $14.99 which is a great price point compared to other skin care products containing Arctic Cloudberry. However, that could be due to the fact that the Cloudberry is pretty far down on the ingredient list so it’s not included in abundance.

I’ve reviewed a number of Lumene products in the past. This latest was also sent to me at no charge for review. Opinions are my own.

  1. This is a great medium coverage BB cream that has a natural, very slightly dewy finish. I have oily skin and usually hate dewy finishes, but this is just ever so slightly dewy that it doesn’t make my face look greasy. I have also noticed that because of the Vitamin C, some of my acne scars are fading. If you have major skin imperfections, this won’t cover everything, but I find it to be a nice medium coverage and it can disguise minor skin issues.
