My Natural Hair Staple: Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter

A completely recovered product junkie, I know what works for my fine natural hair. Lightweight stylers like fine natural hair staple
the Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter are exactly what my hair loves. This product “combines super hydrating, thirst quenching coconut water, aloe vera juice, tropical butters and oils to deeply penetrate and provide maximum moisture and shine.”

I first discovered the Coconut Water line when I went to the Taliah Waajd Atlanta World Natural Hair Show in 2014. My initial purchase from the Camille Rose Naturals booth was the Coconut Water Deep Penetrating Conditioner. I was hesitant to try anything else in the line since it was so new.  I should have known better since there’s not a product by Camille Rose Naturals that I have yet to dislike.

When it came time to repurchase the CRN Coconut Water conditioner, I took a trip to Target and that’s when I noticed the “Style Setter.” Since Camille Rose Naturals products aren’t cheap, I decided to forego the conditioner and try the coconut water style setter.

We’ve been married ever since…

How I use Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter

When it comes to this product, it can be used in many ways – combined with other products or solo. I use the style setter:

  • to set my twists
  • to set my braids
  • to hydrate my wash ‘n go
  • to moisturize old styled hair

I also found that this product pairs well with all of my other staples ex: Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in conditioner, Shea Moisture JBCO leave in conditioner). After all, a staple can’t be a staple if it’s a lone ranger not willing to play with friends!

A little goes a long way when using this styler but because I love the smell and consistency of it soooo much, I tend to veer toward heavy handedness; Not good for my wallet but great for my hair! It smells like a coconut flavored taffy candy. That’s the best I can describe the scent. It’s consistency is very creamy like a whipped up, smoothed out butter.

Best Features

Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Style Setter has many great features but for me the best ones are the ingredients, the moisture my hair receives from it and how it helps to smooth my hair shaft. The coconut water in this product just infuses the hair with so much moisture and it leaves the strands feeling silky.

My hair loves coconut and aloe vera. Both help to hydrate the hair and smooth the cuticles.

This is a keeper.
