Jane Carter Solutions Curl Defining Cream Review

curl defined hairStill familiarizing myself with the products I purchased at the Own Your Natural event in NYC, next up is my review of Jane Carter’s Curl Defining Cream.

This cream normally retails for $34 but I got it for $15 at the event.

PROS: Smells amazing and leaves the hair very very soft.

I first used the curl defining cream by scrunching it into dry hair just to see how it would come out. I also wanted to see how it would cause my hair to react. That’s what you see in the pics to your right.

A week after using it on dry hair, I tried it on soaking wet hair. The results were not as nice as on dry hair. My hair looked like a big poof and I didn’t care for it.

Would I buy Jane Carter’s Curl Defining Cream again?

Nope. I got better results on wet hair using Teri LaFlesh’s tightly curly method of leaving every day conditioner in my hair to define my curls.

By leaving my Shikai Natural Every Day rinse out conditioner in my hair, it costs me pennies a day. Using Jane Carter’s Curl Defining Cream will cost more than double.

So, I’ll just use the curl defining cream until it’s done and just stick with my favorite Nourish and Shine.

Have you tried Jane Carter’s Curl Defining Cream? What were your results?

  1. I wanted to see how this product was so thank you for the review. I have tried the scalp serum and the nourish and shine and really like those.I also like the leave in conditioner.

  2. Hey Michelle,

I haven’t tried this product, but I was considering trying it. Now, I don’t think I will. I do have the Condition and Sculpt and the Revitializing Leave-in (don’t use as a leave-in, more as a refresher) from the line and they are okay.

Thanks for sharing and I love your hair in the photos!

    Take care,

    Evelyn

  3. I use the Teri Laflesh method and love my results. Sometimes you don’t know if a product will work for you until you try it out. I’m glad you got it at a discounted price considering it did work out for you on wet hair.

  4. I’ve been wondering how this product worked for you since I saw the initial post about it! I love the Jane Carter Serum but I haven’t tried the curl defining cream.
