Curly hair can often appear dull looking. That’s because all of the grooves and curves in curly hair hair don’t allow for the free movement of sebum down the hair shaft. Sebum coats the hair in a thin film which is what gives the hair it’s natural shine.
When your cuticles are raised, your hair can appear dull as well. it’s very difficult for your hair to reflect light when the cuticles are raised.
There are many causes of dull hair but let’s forget about the causes and get to product that can help transform dull, dry looking hair into hair that is smooth, silky and shiny.
Aubrey Organics Green Tea Cream Rinse
Ever since I was introduced to the Aubrey Organics line of all natural hair care products I’ve been hooked. Many of their products are staples for my hair care regimen including the Glycogen Protein Balancing Conditioner, the Honeysuckle Rose Moisturizing Conditioner and the Green Tea Finishing Cream Rinse.
The purpose of a cream rinse is to make your hair softer, more manageable, shinier and in some cases stronger. This is accomplished with specific ingredients in the product. Aubrey Organics Finishing Cream Rinse is the final product used for rinsing your hair. It contains aloe leaf juice, citrus peel oil, glycerin, green tea and nettle extracts and oat protein.
The green tea and nettle extracts help to detangle the hair on contact, controlling fly aways while simultaneously toning up your scalp. The oat protein in the products helps to strengthen your hair fibers. It’s a one-two punch.
When applying the cream rinse to your hair you’ll notice an immediate smoothing of the hair’s cuticle and an ease of which you can finger detangle your hair. Your curls are left feeling like silk. I can’t get enough of this!!
From the very first time I used this cream rinse, I knew this would be a staple for my hair. Aubrey Organics Green Tea Finishing Cream Rinse is truly the final touch after I’ve washed and finger detangled my hair in the shower. It provides a smoothness that regular conditioner can not match and it’s fast acting too.
How to Apply
After rinsing out your final wash or deep conditioner, apply a palm full of Aubrey Organics Green Tea Finishing Cream Rinse to your hair, concentrating first on the ends and working up the hair shaft.
Allow the cream rinse to sit on your hair for a minimum of two minutes. I usually allow mine to sit for about 5 minutes while I apply my weekly face mask and continue my shower ritual.
Just before you’re ready to rinse the finishing cream rinse from your hair, carefully run your fingers down your hair shaft in search of tangles. if you come across any, gently finger detangle your hair and smooth hair with fingers.
Then, it’s time to rinse. When you do so, you’ll notice softer, shinier hair. It’s truly amazing.I didn’t get these results with the apple cider vinegar rinse.
