Our son made this tie for Father’s Day 🙂
7 years of marriage. That’s a milestone for me. As of September 14th, 2014 I have been married to the love of my life and this post is just to share how thankful I am for being married to him.
Marriage has always been God’s plan. Many who read this post don’t believe that and will even say it’s an outdated “institution.” To those people I say, “You are entitled to your opinion but you have no idea what you’re missing!”
I’m not saying that marriage is easy. You need to work at it but if you are willing to do the work, the beauty at the end of the tunnel awaits. I can honestly say that my husband and I did not always see eye to eye on important matters. We learned to compromise and we also learned how to take a break when tempers begin to flare.
I can’t speak for anybody else’s man but mine is one of a kind and we compliment each other well. He is one of the least lazy men I have ever met! He knows I hate to cook so he does all the cooking. He also gets up every morning to dress, feed and give my son (not his biological) his medication. Not many men would sign up for all of that. Plus, when I’m a little lazy (not often), he pitches in to clean house. OK so he’s a man and doesn’t do a really thorough job but he tries LOL!
Fast forward to our 7th year of marriage and my husband is now adopting OUR son! How coincidental that in the Bible, seven is God’s number of completion? Hmmmm
No long drawn out post or trying to convince you that marriage is great. I just wanted to share that I couldn’t have asked for a better person to spend my life with. Marriage is sweet and I am very thankful for it.
