Finger coils are nothing new but they certainly are new for me.
I’ve been natural for about 8 years and in the time that I’ve been natural, I’ve only just started embracing my natural texture as of the last two 1/2 years. Prior to discovering the Kim Coles Grow Out Challenge sponsored by Curly Nikki and Naturally Curly back in 2011 , I just flat ironed my hair on a regular basis.
Now that I’m embracing my natural texture and no longer heat styling, I’m rediscovering all of the various ways I can style my hair. One of those ways is finger coiling.
Check out my finger coiling experience by watching the video below:
I remembered…woot!
It’s ORGANIC Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel

And did I say blue and white label? Um…I meant purple and clear 😉
Gurrrrrrrl having gone through a product junky phase I have it LOL. I bought it and used it like twice. Ok so I’ll try it when I do the coils. Thank for letting me know!
“I’ll be back to post only if it turns out well”…
Keepin it 100 I see lol
I used to coil my friend’s hair and it always turned out nice….not a lot of shrinkage, either.
I’m so sorry this post is gonna sound pointless, but I can’t think of the name of the product o_0
I thought it was Jamaican Mango & LIme but I’m getting it confused. Ugh. It came in a huge tub with a blue and white label.
It was quite popular some years back but I haven’t heard much about it lately.
umm yeah you need to get the name of that product lol. I want to do these again with much less shrinkage. I’m going to do them bigger next time tho
Very Pretty, with great Shine!. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
