It’s been quite some time since I’ve updated Fine Natural Hair and Faith with original content (nearly two months). It’s been even longer since I’ve recorded a video for my YouTube channel. All neglect is with good reason though.
I’m normally very consistent with sharing content that either helps my fellow fine hair naturals or inspires others. I try to share as much of my life as a Christian special needs mom as possible because someone somewhere will be encouraged. With all the good that can happen in the midst of the storms, the last few months have been very hard on me and my family.
Without getting into all of the specifics, let’s just say 2016 has not been very good to me. My son has had healthy challenges and our family has encountered financial hardships.
Thankfully, things are looking up and we are believing God for not only healing for Christopher’s body but also a miracle in our finances.
Our apartment lease expires in Feb 2017 and it’s not our intention to renew it. We need to get out of this place. You wouldn’t think it’s a terrible place to live at first glance but for one, it’s not handicap accessible and they have denied our request to make it such.
On top of that (as if we need more), the people who are moving into our building are nasty. The landlord doesn’t seem to care. That’s also evidenced by how the building is starting to fall apart.
I’ve had so much going on in my life that I’ve had to focus and prioritize what I gave my attention to. I recorded a video to provide more details but it seems that not having picked up my camera for over two months, I didn’t know what the heck I was doing! The video came out very grainy and I was not about to put that mess out there into the universe.
Instead, I’ll just re-record it this weekend (now that I’ve discovered how to work my camera again). Subscribe to my YouTube channel here if you want to know the details of what kept me away so long.
Now that the storms of my life have subsided, I’ll be regularly updating again. Thank you to all who stayed followers and subscribers of mine. I truly appreciate it.
