Lumene: A Formidable Rival for Atopalm 10

lumene cleansing wipes

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I love the brand Atopalm. I was fortunate enough to receive a number of their products including the moisturizing cleansing foam, body moisturizers, and makeup removal wipes.

I totally fell in love with the moisture wipes to remove makeup because of how gentle they were, in addition to how my skin was left feeling moisturized.

Enter rival Lumene

Lumene is based in Finland and offers an alcohol free cleansing wipe that’s over 95% natural. These wipes were one of Allure Magazine’s top beauty picks for 2011.

This cleansing wipe is made for all skin types but especially sensitive skin like mine. It contains contain organic arctic linen seed which calms and soothes sensitive skin.

I’ve used these wipes to remove my makeup and after wiping with just one there was no need to wash my face. My skin was left soft and moisturized.

This is a great wipe to take with you when you’re traveling. The package is available in a small 10 pack size.

So why is it a formidable rival for Atopalm? First, let me say that it’s not better. I’d say they are equal performance-wise.

The distinct difference between the two is that Atopalm’s wipes are much bigger and thicker. Yet, they both remove makeup very thoroughly so size doesn’t necessarily matter unless you really just prefer a larger, thicker wipe (beneficial if you wear lots of makeup that needs to be removed).

A 10 pack of Lumene’s Sensitive Touch Cleansing Wipes are available at Target (Tarjay) for only $3. They are also available in a 25 pack but if you want to try them for pretty much no risk then get the small pack.

That’s the other difference between Lumene and Atopalm. Atopalm’s moisturizing wipes are about $10 for $25 – a few more dollars but remember, they are also bigger and thicker so I’d say the price is comparable.

Have you tried either Atopalm or Lumene Cleansing Wipes? If so, what was your experience?
