Here at Fine Natural Hair and Faith, the goal is to help those with fine natural hair to achieve the best head of hair possible…with God’s help. Part of my life is to also use my christian faith for natural hair care.

What I Believe

Without getting too deep, here’s a summary of my faith as a born again Christian. I believe in:

• God the Father
• Jesus the Son
• The Holy Spirit, our Helper

I believe that the three are one and work together to save mankind. I believe that Jesus died for our sins. He was crucified, died, buried and rose from the dead on the third day.

Jesus is our example for living right. I believe we should do our best to emulate Him and transform our thinking to line up with His. For, He is a reflection of God the Father.

I don’t believe there’s anything in life we can do to achieve sustainable success without trusting God as our Source. For, He is our Creator.

Some may achieve a measure of success without God but the Bible clearly tells us…

For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Mark 8:36

We must trust in the God of Heaven if we are to achieve lasting success while also preserving our mind, will and emotions.

How Faith is Connected to Hair

You may be well versed in struggling to care for your fine natural hair. I’m familiar with many of the common struggles (achieving volume, retaining length, etc.). While I’ve achieved some measure of success with my own fine natural hair, I am keenly aware that I do not know everything there is to know. None of us do…but God does.

When I find that I’m struggling with things like having an itchy scalp, I rely on God to show me the answer…to help me find the cure.

I believe God has blessed us with all natural resources (like coconut oil) to help us care for our bodies and that includes our hair.

Don’t Knock What You Don’t Understand

Some may chuckle and make fun of those of us who look to God for something as seemingly mundane as hair care. Yet, the Bible says that we are not to lean on our own understanding but to look to God for direction.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

When you don’t know what to do with your hair, trust God to show you. Let Him direct you to the knowledge you need to care for your hair. Maybe the Lord brought you here to Fine Natural Hair to find such knowledge?

Just like you need faith for every area of your life (health, relationships, finances etc), you should develop faith for your hair. Thus, it’s a part of your physical being and God certainly wants your entire body to be healthy and well.

How Christian Faith is Used for Natural Hair Care

When sharing hair tips and product recommendations, you’ll sometimes discover a prayer at the end of certain articles. Also, you’ll come across scriptures and words of encouragement to help you build your faith for healthy hair when applicable.

As a special needs mom, I often have other life challenges which I may also share but mostly I share that over on my YouTube channel.
