Why Make Daily Confessions?

When you decide to live a life of faith, your tongue and how you use it has everything to do with your success.
Part of walking by faith is making daily faith confessions. You have to put a voice to what you believe in. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:13: “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”
Specifically, we are not to just speak “positive” things that we believe. Speaking positively is always better than speaking negatively but it won’t make a mark in your life as a Christian that decides to live by faith.
If you’re going to make confessions that change your life, those confessions will have to be based on God’s Word. For example, if you are believing God to meet your financial needs, it’s better for you to say “My God will supply all of my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus according to Philipians 4:19.” versus saying “I believe all my financial needs are taken care of.”
The latter is a positive thought but it doesn’t tie back to a specific promise in the Word of God.
That was just one example. There are many types of confessions you can make that shows you believe God for something. Some of these include faith for:
- a job
- healing
- bills being paid
- salvation for your family members
- a court case
Whatever you are believing God for, there’s a scripture for it. You just have to find it in the Bible and make it a part of your daily confession.
Where to Find Faith Confessions
The good news is God has not left us to our own devices where finding scriptures to make our daily confessions is concerned. It doesn’t have to be difficult and there is no need to reinvent the wheel. God has had great men and women of faith assemble these kinds of resources and share them right on the internet 🙂
Side bar: the internet was all in God’s plan when the explosion of knowledge that gave birth to the internet took place. 🙂
One of my favorite resources for faith confessions is Creflo Dollar Ministries. This link shares confessions for every area of life. You can search the web for others but I believe you’ll find all the confessions you need there.
