I’ve been sharing photos of my progress using herbs in my natural hair all over my social media sites. As a result, a representative from Cornerstone Skin reached out to me to review their Henna Blend Herbal Hair Mask.

Using herbs like Amla, Shikaki, and Henna in natural hair is so beneficial. If you want to know more about henna, specifically check out the resource I just linked.

I was eager to try this henna based hair mask for a number of reasons:

– Testing for grey hair coverage
– Looking for slight loosening of curls
– Seeking further strengthening of my strands
– An alternative to my weekly henna / cassia glosses

Yes, I was looking forward to trying this hair mask for many reasons. Certainly, my expectations were all met. Only time will tell how much length my hair retains.

UPDATE: I now use Nupur 9 Herb Henna Blend since this product is no longer offered. You can find it on Amazon here:

Ways to Use a Henna Blend Hair Mask

While the henna hair mask from Cornerstone Skin is no longer available, I use the Nupur 9 Herb blend hair mask in much the same ways that I was using the hair mask from Cornerstone Skin. Similarly, those ways included using it to create:

  • Hair Growth Oil – massaging into my scalp multiple times a week
  • Conditioning Glosses – using weekly to every other week
  • Full strength treatments – quarterly treatments
  • Herbal strengthening hair sprays – sporadic spritzing throughout the week

I go into more detail about my thoughts of this product and share my experience with Cornerstone’s Henna Hair Mask in the following video:

In conclusion, A Prayer for Cornerstone Skin:
Father, In Jesus Name please prosper this company as they choose to serve others through the distribution of honestly sourced natural hair products. Amen

Do you create DIY products from henna? If so, what’s been your experience?

I want you to know I HIGHLY appreciate all the vital information you share. I have been using henna but not consistently. I realize from you I can add it to my weekly hair cleansing. Liquid collagen from modere has worked magically filling in a rather large bald area on my noggin. Michelle when I looked in the mirror and saw hair there. I nearly passed out. God answered my prayer by allowing me to find this product. Its pricey but effective. I also see my skin plumping as I am 72. Thinking I’m 27. Lol. It took approximately 6 months for me to see the changes mentioned. I pray over time my fine strands will increase. Many times I got so discouraged but I would watch and rewatch hair tutorials particularly your and press on. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO. RUTH
