I fibbed…a little. It’s actually two products. Well, it’s a duo really and is always peddled together as a set (even though they are sold separately).

best moisturizers for natural hair

As if you couldn’t tell from the photo, it’s the Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Oil & Honey Daily Moisturizer & Sealing Cream & Daily Restorative Spray!

This duo from the Mane Choice has literally changed the game for me. Not only have I found it to be the best at moisturizing dry, dull natural hair. It also:

– keeps it moisturized for days on end
– makes your hair so pliable you can finger shape and even elongate your curls
– help make detangling a breeze

moisturized fine natural hair

Yes, I mean it. I’ve never used another product that has kept my fine natural hair super soft and moisturized for days.

Even though I use it almost daily, I have gone 3-4 days and noticed how my hair was still very soft and moisturized. I seriously wish this stuff came in bigger bottles!

The Moisturizer & Sealing Cream bottle size is deceptive though. I was squeezing until I thought there was no more but then when I cut the tube open, I had quite a bit left. I wanted every drop too because this stuff is too good to waste!

How to Moisturize

fine natural hairOn a Typical Day…

  1. I use the Daily Restorative Spray in the morning by spritzing it all over my head.
  2. Then follow that by working in sections to apply the sealing cream. This is the step that helps me to finger shape my curls.

While you can use one or the other by themselves, they really do work best together.

The Tropical Moringa Oil & Honey Daily Restorative Spray:

  • is great for refreshing a wash and go
  • for adding moisture to the driest of tresses

Ingredients: (Purified Water), Glycerin, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamine E), Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D) Biotin, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Equisetum Hiemale (Horsetail) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend), Citric Acid

The Tropical Moringa Oil & Honey Daily Moisturizer & Sealing Cream:

  • locks in the moisture from the spray while adding a double dose of hydration
  • allows you to finger elongate and shape your curls
  • can be used over your leave in conditioner as a styler
  • preps the hair for smooth and shiny twists or braids

Ingredients: Aqua (Purified Water), Glycerin, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Glyceryl Stearate, Honey, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D), Ulmus Fulva (Slippery Elm) Bark Extract, Biotin, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Laminaria (Algae) Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Equisetum Hiemale (Horsetail) Extract, Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Root, Panthenol (ProVitamin B5) Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Methyl Gluceth-20, Violet 2

These two moisturizers from the Mane Choice are top notch. I’ve even noticed a reduction in the amount of split ends and frizz I get when faithfully using these two products together.

Initially I thought that the glycerin in the products would cause my hair to feel tacky in the winter (especially since it’s so high up on the ingredient list) but I’ve surprisingly been able to use both moisturizers year round with no concerns. My hair just feels really moisturized all the time!

Where to Buy:

  • and of course www.themanechoice.com

A Prayer for the Mane Choice:

Heavenly father, Continue to shine light on all those involved in making the Mane Choice Solution of hair products a success for natural hair. Give them wisdom and lead them in all that they do. Never let the spirit of mammon guide their decisions when dealing with money. In Jesus Name. Amen.

    1. it’s listed there under the ingredients for the cream. The ingredients for the spray were wrong. I copied it from the cream. I updated it though.
