Faith That Moves Mountains: 5 Actions & Beautiful Scripture

mountain moving faith written over image of mountains

If you’re a believer, then you know that real faith moves mountains. These mountains aren’t just for the big challenges you face either. It’s also for the everyday hurdles that cause your day to go sour. Plus, if you want to quickly switch on your faith to have faith over fear, these will help.

Good days don’t just happen by chance. OK, well, sometimes they do, but it’s not a natural occurrence. If you want to have a good day nearly every day, you need to set yourself up for it.

Intentional Faith Building

You need to build your faith and be very intentional with how you live.

That means no more, letting what will be be. YOU take charge of what will be in your life. And even when things don’t go as planned, if you do what I’m about to share with you on a regular day-by-day basis, your attitude will be so changed that things that once affected you won’t bother you nearly as much as they used to.

Here are five things that you can do (and yes, they take faith!) to help you have a smoother day:

1) Start Your Day With Prayer

Making it a point to touch base with the Creator is certainly the biggest move you can make to develop your faith.

Spending time in prayer builds up your spirit and sets you up to hear from God. He will share information with you to help your day go smoothly.

For example, He may tell you to take a different route to work because he knows there are delays on your normal route. That’s the kind of message you’ll receive when in prayer. Daily prayer also tunes your spirit to hear from God throughout the day.

2) Make Daily Confessions Based on God’s Word

“Call those things that be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17. God instructs us in His Word to speak into existence the way we want things to be.

That means if you want to have a blessed day filled with faith, then you have to say so! Speak God’s words of peace over your life and the lives of your loved ones. Declare with your voice the protection and promises of God. Speak faith.

3) Purposefully Plan Your Day In Advance

Much like the preceding faith moves, you must prepare. Now, this is less spiritual but no less helpful.

Preparing your clothing the night before, reviewing tasks you planned (a week prior preferably) helps you not to forget. It helps stay focused and reduces distractions which can wreck your mornings.

You are purposefully taking charge of what your tomorrows will be like, from how you will look to what you will do. This is an act of faith, believe it or not.

4) Purpose to Forgive Your Offender(s)

This is not easy to do. I know. I sometimes struggle with feelings of resentment toward people who have wronged me in the past. However, it takes a constant decision to forgive people.

Yet, it’s a work that you should never give up on because holding on to unforgiveness can affect your ability to have faith. The devil will try and bring condemnation, which isn’t from God, when you don’t forgive.

Forgiving people after they have hurt you or offended you is really not about them. They may continue to be the same ‘ole jerks. Choosing to forgive helps you, not them. You are releasing the hurt and the hurter and moving on with your life.

5) Smile at a Random Stranger

OK. I know this sounds weird, but think of it this way. When you are experiencing challenges in your own life, taking the focus off of yourself and taking a moment to brighten someone else’s day is a statement of faith that you are trusting God to handle yours.

Plus, you never know how much a smile can mean to someone else. Not everyone has hope. Your smile may be the only sign of hope from the Heavenly Father that they will ever see. God can use your smile to change someone’s life.
