fine natural hair staple(Updated Aug 2016) This is one of my favorite deep conditioners! I stumbled upon it while shopping for another deep conditioner. I like to use it from time to time but it’s no longer a staple. It performs very well on my hair but I’ve found better.

How I Use TRUE by Made Beautiful Intense Treatment Masque

There’s only one way to really use a deep conditioner. Well, I know that there are some ladies that use their deep conditioners as stylers but that’s a no go for me. The intended purposes for deep conditioners are to get in there (into the hand strand that is), impart some beneficial vitamins and other nutrients and then vacate. OK that sounds a bit like a one night stand but…

What I’m trying to say is when you use a product meant for deep conditioning, you use it for that purpose and then wash it out. Otherwise, you risk product build up and God knows what else. Manufacturers typically know how they designed their products to be used.

Best Features

The smell. The slip. The taste. OK not the taste but it does smell so good I’ve been tempted! The honey, mango and coconut mixture is so yummy to the senses.

In order for me to get a good deep conditioning, the product I use has to have good slip. This product has great slip. It’s very nourishing and hydrating to my fine hair without weighing it down. It’s light weight and very moisturizing. Here’s a video demo for you to check out before proceeding:

This intense treatment masque is curly girl friendly and also contains a little protein in the form of keratin. I get moisture and strength in one fell swoop. Plus, the ingredients of this deep conditioner are pretty clean for the most part. No sulfate and no parabens. What more could I ask for?

When I’m not using my staple coconut water deep conditioner from Camille Rose Naturals, I will try this Intense Treatment Masque by True from Made Beautiful from time to time. On the days I do a protein treatment (usually my DIY goat’s milk conditioner recipe), I may use this conditioner from True. I used to use Shea Moisture ‘s Manuka Honey and Mefura Oil deep conditioner but it’s been difficult to find on the ground. (Yes, Target sells it but they are always out).
