alternative natural hair loss remedies

As you age, your hair can naturally get thinner. It’s not always the case but it’s certainly not uncommon. Then, there’s premature thinning and balding of hair.

Thinning and balding hair is very upsetting, especially for women. We will try nearly anything to grow our beautiful hair back to fulness and vitality.

The pharmaceutical companies have many products that they market to people who are emotionally affected by balding and thinning hair. The problem with most anti-hair thinning products is they have terrible side effects associated with them – side effects that even include an exacerbation of hair loss. Ugh! Counter productive much?

That’s why I believe God gave us alternative natural hair loss remedies. Below are a few you can try. I’ve not tried them all but I have tried some in the areas of my fine hair that are naturally thin. The other methods I’ve discovered in hair forums where others have mentioned the methods being quite effective. Here they are:

  1. Rub slices of ginger on the scalp in thin or balding areas ever other day. Ginger is a natural stimulant has natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
  2. Massage a combination of Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Rosemary Essential Oil into affected area(s) daily. These two precious oils are a double dose of stimulating awesomeness.
  3. Apply Neem Oil to thin areas on the scalp. It’s high level of antioxidants can protect the scalp and encourage stimulation to the hair follicles
  4. Rinse scalp with fermented rice water one to two times weekly. The amino acids in rice water help to strengthen the roots of the hair, thereby discouraging hair fall. The fermentation process helps to lower the pH balance of the water so that it’s more similar to hair’s pH. This is an ancient Chinese secret 😉

Whichever method you try, always use a massaging technique using the pads of your fingers since massaging stimulates blood flow to the scalp. When massaging oils into your scalp, another hair growth stimulator method to try is the inversion method.

Inverting your head for a short period of time (no longer than 4 minutes) will increase the blood flow to your scalp which in turn can stimulate hair growth. If you are partial to hanging your head upside down, a partial inversion can be just as effective. This is especially true if your thinning areas are closer to the front of your head.

Last but certainly not the least important of natural hair remedies is prayer and making confessions. The Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. When hair begins to fall out prematurely, that’s symptomatic of a death process.

When you massage your scalp, speak the Word of God over yourself. Pray and thank God for healthy hair follicles protected by the Blood of Jesus.

A Prayer for Our Hair:

Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me authority to speak life over myself. I speak life to my hair and scalp right now in Jesus Name. Amen

Thank you for reminding me that Jesus knows and numbers every hair on my head and I can turn to him for something as small (it’s all relative, right?) as hair loss. He Cares!

    1. Amen. some people think it’s a small thing so why bother God. Well, why not? He set it up that way!
