A Fine Haired Natural’s Wash Day – Step by Step
Last updated on January 16th, 2023 at 08:07 pm
When it comes to fine hair, you must handle it carefully. To prevent breakage, this is critical. It’s especially critical if you are seeking to grow your fine hair long and strong.
That’s why, for the next 9 Fridays I’ll be sharing my recommended routines and “types” of products for making wash day most effective for fine natural hair.
On Mondays, I take you step through chronological step through my wash process but in addition to that, for the next nine Fridays I’ll go into greater detail as to why I do what I do. I will take you from the pre-poo until your fine natural hair is styled to completion.
Here is a summary of the steps that you can expect to read in detail beginning next Friday:
– The Pre-Poo
– Cleansing Fine Natural Hair
– Deep Conditioning Methods
– Protein Treating/Strengthening
– Never Skip The Leave In Conditioner
– Moisturizing and Retaining Moisture
– Lubricating with Oils
– Setting Fine Natural Hair with Gels
– Styling Fine Hair – Protective or Low Manipulation?
While, I believe that procedure is more important that products (because there many products that can be used that are great), I will be sharing the products that have faired well for my very own fine natural hair. You may have noticed some of them repeated again and again in my Wash Day Chronicles. Some are commercial products but I’m very big on DIY recipes as well. As a matter of fact, my love for becoming a DIY girl is increasing 🙂
Please share your favorite effective leave-in and gel combo.
