Devotional: Reset and Refocus on What Matters
I’ve had an on-again, off-again relationship with feelings of inadequacy. There are days when no matter how much I get done, I still end up feeling insufficient. Yet, I know that God doesn’t want us to feel that way. He has a lot to say about it in His Word.

You feeling lost or invisible isn’t in His plan.
Intro
If you find yourself with feelings of inadequacy, it’s time to shift your focus.
So, I want to offer you another perspective. Perhaps it’s not that there’s something “wrong” with you at all. Maybe you just need to press the reset button on how you see yourself.
Think of it like cleaning off a foggy mirror or rebooting a slow computer that has too many programs running in the background.
When you shift your focus to God’s Word, you’ll rediscover your identity.
Scripture Focus: Verse of the Day
I offer you this verse to focus on today (and many more to come). You can even write it down or verse map it for an even deeper study.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”— Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Reflections & Encouragement
Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a new creation. You’re not who you used to be, and that is the good news. God calls you His masterpiece.
It’s not because you are perfect, but it’s because you now belong to Him. So, when feelings of inadequacy or doubt show up or you start second-guessing your worth, come back to what is true – The Word of God. What does the Lord have to say about things?
