How Scripture Meditation Brings You Peace

Whoever thought it was a good idea to try and make it in this world without God is foolish. The Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” (Psalm 14:1)
I don’t know about you but I need the Lord. There’s so much going on in this sin sick world that we have no control over. Sickness, wars, crime, financial lack and so much more can threaten to over take us.
That’s why you need to hold on to the fact that there is a God, He has great plans for your life in spite of what is going on in the world and He has promises He wants you to hold on to.
When you find a word from God that upholds you, meditate on it. Let it get deep down within your spirit. The way you do this is by reading it over and over again. You read it out loud and you think about it all throughout your day. Let it roll over in your mind. Print it or write it out and hang it where you can see it frequently. This will give you peace when life threatens to overwhelm.
There’s a scripture that I have been holding on to with all of my might. It promises to meet every need that I’m looking to God for. What’s best is whenever I’m feeling a little off kilter or disappointed that I’ve yet to see the promises of God come to pass in my life, the Lord sends me a little reminder of what He has promised me in His Word. I’ll either see this scripture somewhere else or someone will say it when I wasn’t even thinking about it.
This little card was sent to me a long time ago by a ministry that I follow. They send me encouraging things every month and I don’t always keep them but this one I held on to and now I know the reason why. Little did I know that this scripture would be a lifeline for me.
When I wake up in the morning, it’s one of the first things I see because I have it right there on my dresser. It helps me start my morning with peace.
When I go to bed at night, I can read this promise from God out loud and go to sleep with peace.

Meditate on scriptures for whatever you are believing God for and peace will come. Once you have your peace, you can wait on God to fulfill his promises in your life and you’ll be able to do so for as long as it takes. That’s what peace brings. Patience.
Amen!
Thank you Michelle for this
