Close The Door on Fear

stop fear inspiring faith

One thing going through one health trial after another with my son has taught me is that there is no place for fear in my life.

As the Bible says in the book of First John, fear brings torment but, perfect love casts out fear. Love will win all the time if you allow it to take the place of fear in your life.

Some people have remarked that I am strong after reading about all that my family has been through. Yes, I am strong. I don’t say that arrogantly. It’s my daily confession.

“The joy of the Lord IS my strength.  I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The Lord under-girds me with strength. I go from strength to strength.”

These confessions I make almost every single day so that when fear tries to gain entry to my life, I do not give it a foothold. That doesn’t mean fear doesn’t try from time to time. It will but you have to trust God and believe in His love.

God loves you. It doesn’t matter what satan may throw your way. If you hold on to that truth (not, fact because facts are subject to change), then you can quickly close the door on fear and never allow that evil spirit entrance to your life.

Fear is a spirit (see 2 Timothy 1:7). God has not given us a spirit of fear. He’s given us a spirit of love, power and a sound, disciplined mind.

When fear tries to come upon you, be disciplined. Open your mouth and speak to it – the Word of the Lord. You’ll win every single time. Don’t let fear tell you otherwise.

Spirit Food for Thought:

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. ” Proverbs 10:28
