Satan’s Playbook to Destroy Women’s Sense of Self-Worth
Exposing 10 Lies of the Enemy and Equipping You with God’s Truth

I was reading an article from Seedtime Money where the AI assistant, ChatGPT was used to do a “roleplay” as satan and how it would go about destroying your and my financial lives. The premise of this activity is based on a book written by C.S. Lewis: Screwtape Letters where one demon is coaching another on how to be most effective in their work.
I found it incredibly interesting how accurate (based on what we know about the enemy of our souls) ChatGPT was in giving us what is being called Satan’s 10-Step Plan for Our Finances.
Because this was so startling accurate, I thought, “What could ChatGPT reveal if it role-played as satan to reveal how it would go about destroying women’s self-worth.
The reason I wanted to see what AI would generate is because as women of God, we are often attacked by the enemy right to our core – how we see and feel about ourselves. This includes everything from our appearance to our work to how we care for others.
So, let’s see what ChatGPT came up with. Below are the 10 biggest lies of the enemy that were revealed as part of satan’s strategies. It’s the speak of the devil and him alone.
However, beneath each lie is an encouraging Bible verse that reveals that the devil is a liar!

Strategy #1: Attack Identity
The Lie:
“You are not enough.”
satan tries to make you question your identity, leading you to believe that you are unworthy of love or success.

God’s Truth:
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
Your worth is not based on your achievements, looks, or opinions of others. You are God’s masterpiece, created in His image and deeply loved by Him.
Strategy #2: Use Comparison to Create Insecurity
Lie:
“Look at her. She’s prettier, more successful, a better mother, wife, or friend.”
satan thrives on making you feel like you’re in competition with others, planting seeds of insecurity.
God’s Truth:
“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
Focus on your unique calling and journey. Celebrate others’ victories, but never let comparison steal your joy. Your race is different, your hair is different (emphasis mine) and that’s okay.
Strategy #3: Twist Beauty and Body Image
Lie:
“Your worth is in how you look.”
satan wants you to tie your self-worth to physical appearance, causing you to feel inadequate based on society’s standards.
God’s Truth:
“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment… but from the inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” (1 Peter 3:3-4)
True beauty is found in the condition of your heart. Take care of your body, but know that your worth is not determined by how you look.
Strategy #4: Distort the Truth About Calling and Purpose
Lie:
“You have no purpose. You’re just going through the motions of life.”
satan wants you to believe you are insignificant and that your daily actions don’t matter.
God’s Truth:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Know that God has a plan for you, and every role you fill—whether at work, at home, or in ministry—is part of His divine purpose. You matter.
Strategy #5: Weaponize Guilt and Shame
Lie:
“God won’t forgive you. You’ve gone too far.”
satan uses guilt and shame to make you feel unworthy of God’s love and forgiveness.
God’s Truth:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Jesus’ sacrifice covers all sins—past, present, and future. Confess your sins, accept His grace, and move forward in freedom.
Strategy #6: Create Isolation and Loneliness
Lie:
“No one understands you. No one cares.”
satan seeks to isolate you, making you feel alone and abandoned in your struggles.
God’s Truth:
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
God is always near to you. Seek community with fellow believers, and don’t isolate yourself. Reach out, share, and support one another.
Strategy #7: Fill the Mind with Negative Self-Talk
Lie:
“You’re a failure. You’ll never change.”
satan fills your thoughts with negativity, making you believe you’re incapable of growth or change.
God’s Truth:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
Take every thought captive and replace lies with truth. Speak God’s promises over yourself—you are a new creation in Christ.
Strategy #8: Destroy Relationships
Lie:
“You’re unlovable. No one really cares about you.”
satan tries to divide and sow discord in relationships, making you feel rejected and alone.
God’s Truth:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)
Fight for your relationships. Pray for reconciliation, practice forgiveness, and remember that you are deeply loved by God. His love empowers you to love others.
The Playbook’s Ultimate Defeat
satan’s lies are defeated by the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. The enemy may come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give life in abundance. (John 10:10)
When you feel under attack, put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in your identity as a beloved daughter of the King.
Practical Actions to Guard Your Worth
- Daily Affirmations: Speak Scripture over yourself every morning to combat negative thoughts.
- Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any lies you’ve believed and replace them with truth.
- Community: Surround yourself with faith-filled women who encourage and uplift you.
- Scripture Memorization: Arm yourself with verses that counteract Satan’s lies.
- Worship: Praise God to silence the enemy’s voice and remind yourself of His love and faithfulness.
