Welcome to another Faith Inspiring Friday

investing in your soul

Investing – the act of committing money or capital to an endeavor (a business, project, real estate, etc.) with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit.

When you invest in the world’s financial system, the expectation is that you will reap a monetary return. That’s not a bad thing. We need money to live successfully in this world. Yet, money can only buy but so much.

Money can’t buy health (where there is no cure). It can’t buy true friends, happiness or salvation. On the contrary, you’ll need to make a different type of investment to reap returns in those areas. You need to invest in your soul.

What Is Your soul?

You are a spirit being, living in a physical body and you possess a soul. Your soul is not who you are (spirit) but it’s the part of you that is your thinker, your feeler and your decision maker. In other words, your soul is composed of your mind, your will and your emotions.

It’s what you listen to, what you watch and what you hear on a consistent basis that determines what you believe, how you feel, and how you act.

HOW TO INVEST IN YOUR SOUL

Negative words will produce negative thoughts and a negative result in your life.

To receive an non-monetary investment toward the areas of your life that money can’t buy, you’ll need to make regular “spiritual deposits” into your soul from the Book of Life/the Word of God/the Bible. It’s the only book you will find that contains words that are alive, able to develop your faith and transform your life.

So, whatever you’re looking for that money can’t buy, search for some life giving words in the Word. Investing time in reading, speaking and meditating on those words, God’s Words, will pay you dividends that money can’t buy.
