When Curlformers are Too Short For Your Hair

Last week I shared tips on how to get an awesome Curlformers set. One of those tips is to make sure you have the right length of Curlformers. Well, what if you are setting your hair and at the last minute, you discover that your hair has grown (yippee!) past the length of the Curlformer you have?
Or maybe, you purchased Curlformers that were too short to begin with and have gone past the time allotted to return them. Not to worry. aThere’s three things you can do to help the sitchi-ation (yeah I know it’s not a word but I’m among my girls who get it right? :-)):
1- If you have a small amount of hair sticking outside of your Curlformer either wrap that hair around the end of the Curlformer and pin it with a bobby pin to keep it in place.
2- If you have more than an inch or two of hair sticking outside of your Curlformer, roll those ends with a magnetic roller.
3- If your hair is REALLY long (at least 3-4 inches or more hanging out of the Curlformer, hook up another Curlformer and install it directly underneath the first one.
(Sorry, no pic for this one. I’m not there yet 🙂 I have however read about the success of this technique multiple times from other ladies who have experienced it.)
Curlformers create beautiful, fun curls. They can be a little challenging to install though. If you find that you don’t have the right size for your hair length, these tips can help.
Thank you so much! I got the ones for Long hair and they’re a little too short. These tips are great!
you’re welcome 🙂
Great idea! I have to try this.
🙂 gotta get creative with these things. They are too expensive!
