Short Christian devotional for women – hair loss encouragement

Intro
While shedding is a natural part of a hair’s cycle of life, it can be distressing for women as we see our hairs falling out. Not 1 or 2 hairs but as hand fulls start to come out, you know there’s a problem.
Excess shedding can be caused by many reasons: stress, hormonal changes, and even seasonal shifts. Losing hair often feels like we are losing a part of ourselves.
However, just as we go through the natural process of shedding hair, there are spiritual lessons we can glean from the experience. Let me offer you some hair loss encouragement that correlates to other areas of life.
Scripture Focus
I chose this scripture from Ecclesiastes as a means of encouragement for women experiencing hair loss caused by excessive sheddiing (women supporting women).
1 There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2Â Â Â Â Â a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3     a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4Â Â Â Â Â a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5Â Â Â Â Â a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6Â Â Â Â Â a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7Â Â Â Â Â a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8Â Â Â Â Â a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 (NIV)

Reflections
Just like shedding hair is a process of renewal, trust, and transformation, there’s a correlation between the seasons of life that bring about the same.
Just like hair naturally sheds and makes way for new growth, as we go through the seasons of life where we experience loss, it too creates an experience for us to encounter something new.
God, in His wisdom, uses these moments to prune us, removing what no longer serves us and preparing us for the next chapter of growth in our lives.
Encouragement
Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 shows us that our lives are destined for seasons. It’s the cycle of life. But be encouraged because God is there with you.
If you’re in a season of loss, whether is hair, relationships, or other areas of your life, remember that God is always working behind the scenes for our good. He sees the things that cause your heart to ache and He will strengthen you in ways you may not yet understand.
Trust in God’s timing and ability to make all things right in their due season.
God Note
For every faith-based devotional for women I write, I want you to focus on the key message. So, I create what I like to call a note from God (because it is always based on scripture).
